Each 2-ply skein weighs 100 grams.  Fingering length yarn falls within the range of 300-400 meters and the count is between 4.5- 5.5.

Handspun yak  yarn – spun and made by a women’s spinners in Tajikistan.  The yak raw fiber is collected  from farmers in the Pamir mountains in the southern part of the country.  The yaks are combed and the fiber is being  washed and de-haired at LLC “ Pamir Cashmere” facility in Tajikistan.
